My first dark and stormy was had at the Whitehorse Tavern in Newport and they used Gosslin's Black Seal. Very good rum. They also make ginger beer which I make sure to use.

There are two rum distilleries located near my family's home in Puerto Rico. One of them has been there since the mid-1800's. So I tend to drink their products when having my favorite drink, a Cuba Libre (rum 'n coke to you gringos!).
I'm intrigued by the Rhode Island grog, though. I'd like to try the drink that fueled the American Revolution!

Always been a Captain Morgan fan myself, but I recently was introduced to Pyrates rum. A little pricey, but very nice!

I'm somewhat fond of Myers rum myself.

Gosling's Black Seal! Delicious, and so dark you can't see through it...!
