brief update
Hey folks,
Been off-line since January. Had ALOT happen since. In short, my mother passed on the Summer Solstice. I had to be the grown-up for all aspects. My sister took possession of the house and I moved my family to Petersburg, VA. Looking for work.
Don't know when I'll be back - sooner or later.
All my best!
Finn

Welcome to Virginia from just about 15 miles to the west of Petersburg. I was born and raised in Petersburg. For employment, see if you can get on at one of the Hopewell plants. They pay well, and some, at least, have pretty good job security. The only catch is that they hire through the Va Employment Commission. If you have any trade skills such as electrician, pipefitter, millwright, ect. it will help in getting hired and there are several construction companies that work in the plants. They can be an in to finding employment at the plants themselves. Good luck in your search.

My prayers and condolences to you in your loss. It's approaching a year since my own mother passed away suddenly and dropped a mess on me, so I think I understand some of what you have gone through.
