White hose are a "hot button" item for some folks here on the forum, as are "flat caps" and several others we do not need to go into. Just keep hanging around and hearing what other folks have to say about some of the more controversial topics, yearn to understand those postions both historic and personal preference in regards those topics, and as time goes by you will generate your own knowledge base from which to make judgements like whether or not to wear hot pink striped kilt hose with your fluorescent yellow paisley kilt, and more specifically, whether matching paisley flashes are appropriate in that setting.

Stick around, listen, question, and learn, and then make up your own mind. Welcome to the rabble.
Ahh the white & cream hose thing!
From what I gathered from previous topics is:
"wear them if they look good with everything else... they dont suit a lot of tartans and they're not for every occasion but wear them if you really want"

To be honest I dont think I'd wear cream hose... I own a pair and have never worn them but I dont think they look great with anything else I own. I, however, would wear white hose because I feel they probably could compliment an outfit with a white shirt and I just bought a nice white tie that they'd look good (in my opinion obviously) with

Thanks for the advice though guys... I think I'll go for it on occasion and look into getting other colours because the ones I have with the "popcorn" effect look really nice, well-made and most of all - they're really comfortable!
