Dr Martens Saxon Brogue. It's a nice funky twist on the "traditional" brogue, and yet retains the appeal of the time honored association of kilt and brogue--it satisfies the expectation that you might have brogues on your feet, but funks it up for you, IMHO. Dr Martens Brogues also come in a slew of even more funkified two tone colors, black and white, green and red as the second tone. My wish list includes some of the two tone models...Regards...
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.
