Next palm desert kilt night aug. 15
Lads,
The third Saturday of August is the 15th, and the next SCHooligans Kilt Night is scheduled for 5pm at The Tilted Kilt in Palm Desert. Although we had a smaller group at the July event, we had three pipers from the Palm Springs Pipe Band, and they brought down the house! We literally had young Marines from 29 Palms on one knee with pints raised in honor of their fallen comrades as the pipers played Amazing Grace and the Marine Corps Hymn.
Yours truly will only be able to stay an hour or two because I'm attending a fundraiser for The Mohave Desert Land Trust. We'll be viewing the Persied Meteor Shower up at the Integratron in Landers. I can send the link to anyone interested in going.
The Tilted Kilt is located on Hwy 111 @ Painter's Path, between Bob Hope Dr. and Fred Waring Dr, on the South side of the street. Beautiful waitresses and parking are plentiful. Let's all turn out and show the TKK patrons how "real" men dress for a pub crawl!
Cheers!

As an honourary member of the SCHooligans, I'm sorry to say I will not be able to make the August meet-up ......... 'fraid distance is against me! I should see you all next March or April however, when I plan on being in Palm Springs again.
Take care,
Ham.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Steve, bring young Quinn and any other interested Marines to the festivities. It's always nice to thank our young service men & women in person.
I'll be there from 5p to 7p, then I'll need to head up to the high desert for my other engagement. Sounds like we'll have a good turnout.
Cheers!
