Tomorrow, the third chapter begins of my journey tale. On to the Argyll!!!!
It was really great meeting you too and all the other Xmarkers. I was glad to see you were all very friendly and we had some wee chats.
So when're you coming back then?
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

The Gathering had gone beyond my expectations. It was great to meeting all the XMarkers who attended there. Our kith virtual relationship feels stronger than the blood of kin. Great memories are stored.
I second that, Ern. I have been to Highland games here in Scotland where there has been more to see and do but it was the beginning of new and hopefully long lasting friendships which made this Edinburgh gathering so extra special for me. My only regret is that just three Europeans and three Americans were able to make it to our xmarks Sunday meet.
Looking forward to viewing the next instalment of the pics.

Day 8 – Onward to Inveraray, Argyll
The next chapter would be gathering with the Malcolm MacCallum Clan Society in the Argyll. Our Chief Robin Malcolm lives in the longest inhabited castle in Scotland, Duntrune near Kilmartin. The castle has its own resident ghost, a piper. Our own XMarker ThatCelticBand has even written a song, The Warning about the ghost piper.
Our society would be having its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Scotland! Chief Robin would be giving us a tour of Duntrune, our AGM would be held our in St. Columba’s Chapel on the Poltalloch Estates of Chief Robin. It would be followed by a Clan dinner at Ardifuir the lodge of Robin’s son Andrew. An event to remember, for sure.
I’ve been in contact with a fellow XMarker, Redshanks (Chris Taylor) who lives in the Argyll. I’ve visited the area twice in 2003 and 2004. Chris agreed to show me the areas I’ve not visited and those off the beaten track not seen by the typical tourist.
Monday, 7/27 I leave Edinburgh via The City Link coach for Inveraray. This display in the bus station marks the year long celebration of Homecoming Scotland.

Day 8 – Loch Lomond
As the coach travels along I take these pix of Loch Lomond.
The scenery changes drastically as we enter the Argyll.
This photo does not capture the sensation that you are flying above the ground
