Soldiers taking care of one another

The link below is about how much effort soldiers are willing to go through to help one another. I thought all you current and former GI's(don't know the non-US terms) would appreciate this story.

    Enjoy

Thanks for posting this. We have very little idea just how much is involved now. It's a long time since I listened to the Medevac choppers come in and out of the EVAC hospital in Long Binh and wondered about their missions.

Thank the Lord that these people who do so much for us are cared for so expertly.

It is great that some of the unsung heroes get a well earned pat on the back.I am pleased to hear that it matters not who's army the soldier was in, he was an ally and the system coped well. Wonderful. Having had three sons "out there" I was always hopeful that if the worst came to the worst something like this would happen. It has in the past and I am delighted it still does. Mistakes can and do happen in life and most certainly in a war they can happen all too easily, this was no mistake though and the "system" coped well. It is heart warming to read of a job well done.

Thank you Jock for posting this. Been many year but the memories are still there. When we put on the uniform regardless of the country we represent
we become brother-in-arms, and we all care about one and other. God Bless that soldier and all those who help preserve his life.

Thanks for posting this. Michael Yon has done some really good articles from over there.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

You are entirely welcome! I enjoy sharing stories with the group, especially if they are stories that show the kindness of ordinary people.
