New Jersey state law prohibits the public from pumping their own gas. What a shock to get out of the truck and have someone standing there to pump my gas. NJ does have it's redeeming features.
I do miss that about NJ. When I moved to Ohio at age 25, I was still a self-pump virgin. I was very nervous the first time.
In the decade that I lived in the country out here, I managed to find an old-fashioned service station on my way to work, where they insisted on pumping the gas, checking the oil, and cleaning the windshield. Tipping the attendant for actual service was a true pleasure.
