Red's Funeral

I would not wear a PC, as Jock has said it is NOT the correct ensemble for a funeral, I've seen it done but that does not mean that it's right. If you can borrow a daywear tweed that would be best, however as it is Arizona perhaps a shirt and tie is the way to go. Again I'll deffer to Jock her and say the Black tie and hose would be best if you have them, of course you could go with a waistcoat too if you have one. If it were me I'd go in something like this:

Regardless - I am sure you will honor Red by your presence kilted... I am grateful that you will be there for those of us who will be thinking of him and his family from a distance.

That was my thought, too... I think he might have actually preferred them. I know I would.

FYI, the Open Door Fellowship Church is a very casual place. For those attending, wear a kilt but don't overdress. Craig consistently wore a kilt to church, and Diane would like to see a lot of kilts. This is summer in Phoenix (tomorrow's high 108F) and Diane emphasized casual as the order of the day. (To me that doesn't mean sloppy.) I'm going to wear my good kilt, red hose, and black open-neck shirt. (probably)

Thanks for the update Frank. I will still go with my choice of kilt and hose, but will rethink the shirt (and skip the tie).

You guys...I hear loud laughing from above as Craig reads this thread...Struggling with the poor folks in kilt hose at 108F....

Won't be there, but will be wearing MacLean Hunting with a black shirt tomorrow. Normally wear bright clebratory colors to funerals - but this loss is just friggin' SAD - hence the black.

Hope the church is packed with kilts. I have this feeling that Craig is gonna send you guys some sort of sign tomorrow evening. No clue what - but bet you'll recognize it when it happens.
