I do not pretend to be a re enactor, I am a present day supporter of Royalty. If you have a look at the Royal Stuart Society web page, you can get all the details of the present day Monarchists' stance.
Some of we Monarchists' wear a facsimile of the cockade, because it is the recognized badge passed down thro' the years to where we are today. It is a statement, if worn in this way. Most re enactors I would think do not neccessarily agree with our stance. They wear the cockade as part of a 'uniform' indeed many of them are happy to turn out as 'Redcoats'.
I hope you can see what I mean on this pic of me taken this year.

A very smart picture there, sir. Are we not lucky to live in a part of the world where we are allowed to have opinions and points of view without fear or favour?
