Yeah that sounds about right. I guess it's true, alot of people have descendents that have been this way for that reason. Meanwhile yours was RAF...
Moncton isn't too bad now, it's small enough to be peaceful enough, but big enough to offer what one needs for the most part. True scottish country is in Nova Scotia, it's really quite remarkable. Cape breton especially, or towards Antigonish. Going to highland games there less like a re-enactement than it does in most places... it's hard to describe.

Rolling this over in my mind, I wonder if an inner belt like what is used on a gunbelt would be of any help? The sort of thing I'm thinking of is used to secure a heavy belt with pistol, magazines, etc., so it should certainly hold up anything short of a lead-lined kilt. It has an inner belt with the outer surface made of Velcro (tm), and a ring of the opposing Velco surface stitched to the inner waist of the heavy belt (or, in this case, kilt), and putting them on and taking them off is a simple matter of pressing them into place. Just an idea, if someone wants to run with it.

There was a similar idea put out there, basically a high friction material belt you wear inside that would cling to both longer and my waist. I am hoping that part won't be an issue, i think I have the curves to hold up the kilt and I took my torso measurements with that in mind.
I can only hope....otherwise, yes, I am sure there is a solution.
