We continued our exploration of the inside of the church coming to the Nave.

We came to the sanctuary where there was this ornate seating for the higher ups.

The Altar was rather simple from the other parts of the sanctuary.

The stained glass was ornate and beautiful.












We next went to the Bruce Chapel - to come!

Another special area of the Kirk is the Bruce Chapel. There a crypt with the figure of Scotland’s King Robert the Bruce. The figure of Bruce in repose is carved wood with the hands and face of the Bruce made of alabaster.



A relic of the Bruce’s body is encased in the crypt.


At the Bruce’s feet there is a lion.

The rear of the church displayed a whole new personality of the Kirk.
