My brother and I had lunch last week at the Hood River brewery. I am a fan of their barleywine (though I like Rogue's barleywine better), but their brewmaster brought out samples of his Imperial Stout aged in whisky casks.

You can STILL get Strohs (err, Mother's Milk to anyone from Michigan) here! One of my favorite spots with a nice outside eating area sells it at 2 bucks for a 16 oz. mug

Actually, I used to like Strohs just fine! Haven't had one in eons. I'm not a "beer snob" and will gladly glug down an ice-cold Genny, Rolling Rock, or Labatt's on a hot summer's day. I draw the line at Coors Lite, however. That tastes like a can of slightly beer-flavored water...!
