Parrot? For shame - thou shalt not detract from the kilt!!
Seriously, my husband got a free drink upgrade and then "sissy boy" yell from some rednecks passing in a pickup truck! Thoroughly amused by both!!!

Lol mind those "sissy boy" comments can only be made in a moving vehicle... Just in case he really isn't and they will not risk being knocked around in public by a man in a kilt...lol

Funny bit here is the alleged 'sissy boy' is the one hanging around with a woman - his wife -- and the accusers are the ones hanging around with bunch of guys. Things that make ya think. Given their implications, who's zoomin' who?
Anyway -- my wife and I plan to be lunching at our local Sonic tomorrow. Three guesses as to what I'll be wearing -- and the first 2 don't count.

You guys are so lucky. My wife wouldn't be caught dead with me in my kilt at Sonic. I barely got her to eat with me while kilted on vacation! But then, we were away from home so it wasn't likely that we would run into any of her friends.

Well, it's not a Sonic, but over at the Target Store here there is young man who rounds up shopping carts and works on the sales floor who is almost ALWAYS kilted. Hats off to Target!

Proper ambiance is the key. Now Sonic being a proper establish of high class cuisine when pronounced Sonique, should do it, but ----
Hmmm -- maybe you should try that Scottish hamburger place. They're all over the world I've heard. Can't place the name though .. Mc something, McDougles, McDonough's, no -- can't place it

It ain't all it's cracked up to be, man. I have gone to the one near me 2 times since it opened. The food is greasy. Last time I went was last winter. I was wearing my wool Nightstalker heavyweight from Stillwater. It was snowing and chilly, but that kilt is so heavy that I was able to sit outside and enjoy one of the few blustery evenings we actually had last winter. The weather was enjoyable... and the food was edible.

Kilts really fit better in pubs (besides the last time I checked,...Sonic doesn't serve ale. ) Maybe you and your wife should have dinner at your local pub.
