I don't know if I just missed it before but this is the way I like my Guinness as well. Sometimes I cut it about 50/50 with draft cider if it's really hot out.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Actually I was just kidding on the Falstaff, it was last brewed in around 2005. I used to sell it about 15 years ago. Just thought I throw a little to support to the cheap beer class. I enjoy Alien Amber Ale (sort of like fat tire) it is a local brewery owned by the brother of a friend of mine. http://www.sierrablancabrewery.com/

I truly love dogfish 90. Another great (and CHEAPER) HOPPY IPA is Victory Brewing Company's 'Hop Devil'. That is my current favorite.

My favorite was Pryor Dark before they went belly up. Now, any Porter in a storm will do.

I will have to go in to bat or the Aussie beer makers here,
    Coopers Special old Stout
    Coopers Vintage dark ale
    Coopers Pale ale
    Coopers Sparkling ale
    Anyone notice a trend here?

I like proper Guinness not in a can or in a bottle. Cold and please god, no shamrock on top that's for the tourists only. I love this in the winter it's my favourite and a cold Heinekan in summer if I am about to drop with the heat then back to Guinness.

Although the local brewery does some interesting brews.

As a bartender, people loved the shamrock. If nothing else, it kept me a bit less bored while pulling pint after pint of Guinness. And the ladies loved it when I'd write their name in the head of their pint.
