So wool is great in the rain. Put on your kilt and go for it!

My post was listed pre-game. I was able to get out and mix with the crowds after the game and let me tell you, the hooligans were out in force! Kilted, but hooligans none the less. The national pride was something to behold. Though, a new Scottish acquaintance of mine told me that it really doesn't matter whether they win or lose. They act the same either way.
It looks like my brother might fly out and hang out with me on my days off. Which will be great because he's never been here either. We're planning on taking a few day long bus trips to Loch Lomond, the Western Highlands, and Loch Ness. I can't wait to see Scotland outside of Glasgow.
BTW, the women here are AMAZING. Every time they talk shivers get sent down my spine.

Hopefully you'll see a lighter side to the Tartan Army on Wednesday when we play Holland for a chance to go to the World Cup qualifier play-offs. We HAVE to win to be in the reckoning.
The match kicks off at 19.30 so I expect downtown Glasgow, George Square etc, to be heaving with football fans all afternoon. Anybody in trousers will look odd amongst THAT crowd!
Here's hoping you have a great few days out in the Highlands etc, and make sure you find a pub to go to to watch the game!
Here's a homely take on what it means to don your kilt for the lads:

Well not all the time---------just most of the time! Actually we do have periods when we have very dry times when fire can be a major worry on the moors.

Is that fear or admiration?
