The Riddell Fiddlers also provided entertainment.

Falconry as well, here is a Harris Hawk

My pal isn't into kilts but he did wear his MacKenzie jacket, here is a candid shot as he takes a pic of one of the birds of prey

Lots of tartan clad people watching the falconry display

    Including the Armstrongs

Then one of the Armstrongs got involved in helping out the falconer with his display.
    More to follow shortly

As a Cunningham I had to get my photograph taken beside the forked sycamore tree - Over Fork Over !!!

Sulwath had the beer tent with a special Homecoming brew

I've already covered Langholm Castle in another thread some time ago but no visit to the Castle Holm would be complete without concluding with a few shots at the castle.
Here the Tourist Interpretation Board depicts the castle in its heyday.

The sad remains of a once proud stronghold of the Armstrongs

A Cunningham visits the house of Armstrong

One giant leap for mankind. I wonder if the Armstrongs who lived here could ever have foreseen that one of their descendents, Neil Armstrong, would one day be the first man to set foot on the moon.
    That's all folks.

The player on the far left looks to be Matt Seattle. I have one of his CD's of him playing his Borderpipes. Awesome musician. Thanks Alex for the great pics as usual....

Alex, my good Elliot mate down under in Oz has let me know that he enjoyed your photos too!
(he's not on the XMTS, thus I'm passing along the message)
