The Moors ruled Europe for 800 years until King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella kicked the last of them out of Spain in 1492. There was a lot of interbreeding and some very famous Europeans are suspected of having some African blood.

He's got a good point, Bear, can't miss a chance to give a sales pitch! I usually respond with, "I am a wee bit Scottish, but it doesn't matter, because this is an AMERICAN style kilt! Anyone who wants to be more comfortable can wear one!" Then I go from there.

Not that there aren't days that I consider getting a tartan jockstrap, and respond by flipping up the kilt and saying, "Aye, right down to me bollocks!"

Just to answer this question, there is a vendor I've encountered at Highland Games, who sells tartan skivvies. I don't recall offhand if the line includes jockstraps, but it might!
