A drummer in a local country western band in PA, made a guitar-shaped instrument from which he plays the drum sounds and he also has a foot pedal. When he plays, it looks like he is playing a guitar. It really looks strange at first.

Thanks for all the pics you posted. looks like a good time.

It was good to meeting you, Angus. Maybe we'll run into each other at another highland games. I'm hoping to get to the Loon Mountain, NH games later this month but that looks like a real long shot.

I love English Bulldogs. If you can get past the snoring they have the sweetest dispositions.

Great shots. The cajon is usually found in South America, but it's also earned quite a place in Cuban music. Some Rhumba/Samba dance bands use them. I've seen some latin jazz groups use them, too. Interesting to see it in a celtic setting....

Great pics, Jay. I thought about going, but had other things going on. Besides, my wife hates the Altamont fairgrounds. It's always dusty and usually hot there.

    Great pics Thanks.

With regards to the Cajon if you want one you can get them in a variety of types from Musik Productiv Europe's biggest music store (Isn't Germany wonderful).

They don't routinely export to the States but I imagine an email would seal the deal.
