    Needing a fix are you?

Okay guys I had to work overtime in my day job, yesterday. I hope to post tonight my remaining time in Scotland. Tomorrow, I do double duty with working both my jobs. Then I'm off to see my Dad for the weekend. So after tonight I won't have a chance to resume my tale till Sunday evening. Can you make it till then?

The pleasure was all my friend. Thanks for everything. It amazes me as I create this thread all that I was able to experience. Perhaps, Chief Robin was being prophetic when he called me Ern of Kilmartin. I really do feel at home there. A few little Duffs could entice Sharon to come over.

Day 11 – Argyll Departure For Glasgow

My time in the Argyll was ending. It was time to catch the CityLink bus to Glasgow. It had been a great three days in the Argyll. I am very indebted to Redshanks, my XMarker friend, Chris Taylor who gave me his time and knowledge to show me areas that I had not seen in my two prior trips. Chris has three outstanding attributes that makes him a great guide. First is his in-depth knowledge of the area. Second, his ability to paint a picture of the scene you are seeing that brings it to life in a historic period. For instance in exploring the ruins of the cleared village of Arichonan, Chris would speak to what it must have been like. Your imagination would see the women of the village going about their chores, the men tending the sheep, the huntsman returning with the stag, etc. Thirdly, Chris slows you down to smell the roses and not miss the details of what you are seeing. I wonder what Chris could teach and show me on what I had seen on previous trips to the Argyll.

Chris and his faithful stead, Punta. (There may be hope for Chrysler with the Fiat purchase if Chris’s car is any insight what Fiat can bring to the table.)

Chris gave me his Homecoming Scotland 2009 pin as a memento which I promptly placed on my ball cap.

    At the Inveraray bus stop.
