Ladies who appreciate kilts
Mrs. Kiltman and I are currently in Nova Scotia. In NS one should wear a kilt, right? Well, it was amazing to see how well a kilted gentleman can be accepted here. At the Highland Village Museum (an clachan gàidhealach) several of the ladies made pointed positive comments. When we stopped by the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts (a' Cholaisde Ghàidhlig) we were immediately sent up to see the two kilt makers there and had a lovely long conversation with them. For dinner we decided to stop by the Chowder House in Neil's Cove and I was once again met with a great welcome and had all I could do to escape with my dignity.
Here's a photo of two of the staff there.
The young lady on my right had just purchased a new camera and had to have a picture of the guy in the kilt. The lady on the left was not shy about how much she appreciates a man in a kilt.
More later.

Sounds like a great trip! I think that is the kind of positive kilted vacation that we would all like to have. Thanks for sharing.

When I was there, I remember Nova Scotia as being a beautiful province. It's great that you got such a positive all-around response.

In terms of coming to Canada kilted, Nova Scotia is the right province...Scottish heritage is alive and well there! I am forunate to live so close... will most likely get my second kilt made in Cape Breton, in fact.
Enjoy your time here!

I'd love to visit Novia Scotia some time.
It appears to be even more Scottish than modern Scotland!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
