what to get me for my birthday

For those of you who are planning to get me a birthday present, here's what I'd like this year:

Does anyone have one of these? It's an L&M Evan hunting sporran, but I think it's handsome enough to be a dress sporran. If made of black leather, and the brown leather inset were dyed red, this would match my current kilt, the one I have on order, and the one from a yet-to-be-produced university tartan.

    I can wish, can't I?

Hmm. An early 3.8 litre E-Type. Or a Morgan... maybe it's time for a poll!

Oh, and as to the sporran? Dressy day wear, but not quite right for pukka formal attire.

WAIT!!!!!!! what an I thinking of?????? It's the E-Type. (I already have a Morgan, so we could swap rides from time to time.)

Sounds good to me, as it is an E-Type you never know when it will be running properly anyway. A second car could come in handy.

Though it's past my birthday I'm easy

    A Morgan +8

    A Lotus Super Seven

    or an Allard JX2

Frankly I think that the last would thoroughly trounce the first two on my list and Glen's E-Type to boot!

    Cheers

The JX2 is possibly the closest thing to having an orgasm you will ever drive. They are spine-tingling in their dynamic performance on, or off, the track. WHOA! What A Ride! When I bought my first +8 back in 1969 (you can read about it in the October '69 issue of Road & Track) I had a choice between that or a JX2 for the same money... (sigh)... today it would be a choice between a house or the Allard. Well, I have a house... hmmm....
