Is there such thing as a "Thread Hall of Fame" on this forum, because if there is, I'd like to nominate this one!

Thanks, NewGuise and Robert in clarifying the plants. The gentiane is one beautiful plant in bloom!

Epilogue
The next day I was at work and not feeling badly from the jet lag. One of the ladies of the community came by and said I have something for you.
I had made the Richmond Times Dispatch Sunday Travel section article on Parade of Clans for the Gathering in Edinburgh! It had been published yesterday on the day of my return.

Ern
What a wonderful end to a perfect trip. I tend to try and wait until all the photos are posted before saying anything. I have been checking out the thread regularly and have been amazed by everything you were able to squeeze into your time. I do not have to tell you how envious I've been looking at all the photos. What an incredibly journey. Thank you for sharing it with all of us not fortunate enough to have made it.
