Hee! That's "Ulster Weathered" 13 oz. from the House of Edgar, and the kilt is a 4 yard box-pleat by the illustrious Matt Newsome. And it IS great for hiking...!

    Here's one more group shot:

Of course I recognized that kilt. :-) There is one more in the group shot that I made. Anyone care to guess?

It's always fun to see pics of my kilts out and about, enjoying a kilt night or a stroll at the Highland Games.

Seumas' kilt is a MacLeod tartan, but Sue's jacket is just a fashion plaid, I believe....

Jay's (JRB) kilt was box pleated, so I'm guessing that's it.

Bob gets a star! That's a gen-u-wine Matthew Newsome original Rose Hunting ancient in 16oz. Strome. I love that kilt. I tend to wear it much more than my 8yd. knife pleat kilts (even though I love those as well).

I'm really cross eyed in that last group shot. I think it's because it was the end of the evening and of many pints!

It's 16 oz. When I had it made six years ago, I had to pay extra to get it woven in that weight. I don't know if Locharron has changed that since then. At the time, the only stock weight was 10 oz.

I'm glad you like it. I love that kilt.

Correct, they just stock it in their 10oz range.
