SOKS Alexander Keith's BDAY Kilt Night
Greetings:
Glen & I were talking about the next kilt night as we were both sitting in a pub last night. Due to some recent car issues we're going to have to set this next one in Toronto again but after that we "should" be fine.
The Location:
Fionn MacCool's @ Young & St. Clair. The food is to DIE for. Especially their potato wedges.
The Date: October 6th (yes I know that it's a day early but we're trying to avoid some of the major crowds that the day of would bring) and it's a bit of a celebration for my own BDay since I turn 32 on Oct. 2.
The Time:
7:30 pm

I'm afraid I won't be making it - I'm scheduled noon to eight that week.
So, 'though it's a bit early, I'll wish you a Happy Birthday now.

But that is surely a day late, not early - AK and I share a birthday, after all (although he is a mite older than I).
Regardless, I cannot attend; I'll actually be in Baltimore that day!

I'm afraid I can't make it either. We're having a Scotchtoberfest party on Saturday the 3rd and I don't think my liver will allow me to be fully upright before Wednesday.
I have a keg of Steamwhistle, and 19 bottles of single malt (including a 30 yo Highland Park that a friend has 'lent' me) so we should be all set. A local Celtic music club is coming, as are 2 pipers and a noted bodrhan player. Should be fun.

As there seems to be little to no interest in this one, perhaps we could put it off until later in the month, or next month.

I'm thinking to head out for a quick pint at either The Madison or the James Joyce... possibly both! I've got a newly hemmed kilt that needs a test drive.

The James Joyce might have potential for a future kilt night ... of course, the idea of the SOKS meeting at the James Joyce and the SEKS meeting at the James Joyce at the same time (albeit in a different city ) appeals to me.
