Warbirds Part Two
So, after seeing how many people enjoyed the pics that were put up of some historic warbirds, I though that I would post these that I took at the Local "Pima Air and Space Museum" here in Tucson, AZ. I didn't want to put them in the pics section since they aren't kilted.
Hope you enjoy!
Cheers,
Chad

Great shots.... Could the one you forgot be an A4? it's been awhile but I seem to remember the fuel nozzle out like that..

Super pictures. Is that a Hawker Hurricane in RAF colours lurking in the background?

Excellent pictures.
I believe peacekeeper is correct. The unknown pic looks like the A4 Skyhawk. My father was a Marine fighter pilot and flew the Skyhawk in Korea.

Korea? Wow, when I was in the Marine Airwing, after 1984, the group I was in (MAG 13) We had a couple of A4 squadrons, one of which was the famed 214, the BlackSheep Squadron. I think about it now... The Group I was in was all "older Aircraft" comprising of the A4's A6's and the old work horse I worked on the KC 130.

I can clearly remember the specific smell off these birds from my childhood.
Thank you for posting these.

Nice to see photos from the Pima...My grandfather used to make beer-can airplanes as a hobby, and had a standing order with Pima's gift shop. We used to make regular runs from PHX to Tucson with the back seat filled with them, and always got to look around the museum.
Do they still have the plane used by JFK that you can walk through? I loved that.
Have you been to the Titan Missle Museum in Green Valley yet? If not, it's a must.

Thanks everyone. I really had a great time out there. Jock that is a Hawker Hurricane in the back ground. I am not sure if that is an A-4 or not, probably is though. Mac..thanks for the compliments! HDR is one of my favorite types of photography!
Cheers,
CHad
