I have no intention in getting into a deep conversation on treasure trove legal matters. What I can say is that on the four occasions that I have personal knowledge about, the "reward " was split half for the finder and half for the land owner, me. According to the news yesterday and I have no reason to doubt it, it was stated quite clearly many times that 50/50 was the split. So that is where 50/50 comes from.
