I must say, that is absolutely marvelous. Thanks for posting the pattern number. I've got a coupon for Joann's burning a hole in my pocket.
Wonderful looking jacket!

Greetings all, 28 September, 857pmMST
My thanks to all of you for your collected kind remarks. I am humbled.
One of our Brethren here, "Macthenife", is a local pal of mine and I will be making a set for him soon in a dark green Lovat tweed.
It is amazing how much hand sewing is still involved in a machine made set of garments. Took the same amount of time to make a kilt.
This is the second jacket I have made from the pattern I mentioned. Sadly, Simplicity discontinued it some years ago. I have it in all sizes from small through x-large.
Don't know what to do if a real hunk wanted one made. Another local pal of mine wears a size 56 jacket. I'd say that's a little bigger than x-large......
Thanks again to everyone!

Very impressive. I've made them all, except the bonnet, and know how much effort goes into each.

Friends, I just want to say that I have seen this jacket and waist coat close up and even with how good these photo's are of his work, they don't do it justice. This is some real quality work and his attention to detail is very impressive. I'm really looking forward to having mine made. The Jones has begun!
Slainte!
