Ha ha ha wonderful advice! I have plenty of time at 24, and two years of law school to get up to drinking whisky neat. I can say reading at night does seem a tad warmer and more enjoyable in cold nh.
From my undergraduate psychology class (in 1979): "State-dependent learning depends on the observation that things learned in a particular mental state or condition will best be recalled if the subject is in a similar condition at time of recall."
Translation: If you're drinking whisky and studying, you'll remember better if you drink some whisky before the test.
