I would echo what pdcorlis and Jock Scot had to say. As for advice I'd say take a look at the 1 kilt 10 looks thread here. Just so you know a kilt a proper kilt, the traditional variety you would want for such an occasion is a tailored garment, as such you may well be out of time already, I once waited 9 months for a kilt so I would find a kilt maker near you whether you are in Scotland or not and get going on it soon.
