I think that is a very good compromise for your faith and its traditions. You might shoot a PM or e-mail to Fr. John here at Xmarks -- Prester John is his username -- he was the priest at an OCA parish that held a Kirkin' of the Tartan service back in 2005.

Thanks for the heads up. We're actually getting married in an OCA church as it is the closest Orthodox church to my fiance's parents. They run a farm and can't be away from the cows for too long (hence Fr Andrew travelling from RI to NH for the ceremony).
