Karl,
Welcome to XMARKS. PEI is one of my favorite places in the entire world. I am about 3 generations off the island, but I still have some distant cousins in the Point Prim area. My wife and I are hoping to move there someday.

Man, I've never seen such a welcoming bunch before, well, exept maybe for Newfoundlanders. But there was liquor involved on that trip.
Ziggy, my sister is making mine, it will be her second, and she is one of these people who makes sure she's doing things right. She will be making 2 more as well before New Years Eve as that is when her oldest boy is getting married.
And Pete, my wife's family is from Point Prim as well. They're Nicholsons and MacKinnons for the most part and are all from the original Polly settlers. My mother-in-law would no doubt find a connection to you.

Pete, I'm not sure about the Benzies, but there are still a good number of Murchisons in the area. You should hit the internet for property in that area. We were down there for a wedding about 6 weeks ago and there were 'For sale" signs all along the road leading down to the Point.
A lovely area if you don't mind mosquitos.
