I can never decide, it mostly depends...

Longboard Lager: back on the Islands (Hawaii)
Red Stripe: If I'm near the Caribbean
Stagg: The exception for Red Stripe, when in Trinidad and Tobago
Negro Modelo: When back home in New Mexico
    Moose Drool : If I'm near/in Montana
Fat Tire: If I'm wheeling in Colorado
Nicky Brown (New Castle): For a relaxing afternoon
Belhaven Wee Heavy: With a nice dram
Fraoch heather Ale: Before a good Scottish dinner
    Dark Island: After the above
    Dry Blackthorn: For a change
    Guinness: for breakfast

    If nothing else, something local...

    Cheers,

    Joshua C. McIntosh

Belgian ales are popular here in France but most people drink pale ales.

I would rather go for a Canadian Pills.

After a recent visit to Portland, OR I have another beer to add to my favorites list. Upright Brewing's 6.

Upright Brewing is a really new place on N Broadway. They use a French Saison yeast for all their beer and they have a really cool positive pressure room for their open fermenters. The 6 is a rye beer fermented with their house yeast. I could live on it!

It depends what style and country of origin I am in the mood for.

USA: North Coast Brewing Co.-Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout

    Scotland: Orkney Brewing- Skullsplitter

    Germany: Kulmbacher- Eisbock

England: Samuel Smith's- IPA or Imperial Stout, both are good

    Belgium: Chimay- Dubbel

    Ireland: Guinness of course

Italy: Birra Moretti- La Rossa Doppio Malto, basically a German doppelbock

Those are a few of my absolute faves, can't think of anymore at the moment.

    Guinness!
Although I'm taking quite a liking to Well's Banana beer!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
