I would definitely buy it----just not for 10,000gbp.
Would anyone who pays that much for a bottle of whisky ever actually get the nerve up to open it and enjoy its taste? Not likely, as then its value would plummet---like driving a new car off the lot, drops its value by 1/3 immediately as soon as it hits the pavement. Tasting it would give you a nice warm feeling knowing what 10,000gbp scotch tastes like, but would not, in these tough economic time, be worth it to any but those with exorbitant incomes and vast expendible capital. Unopened its value may continue to rise (depending on the economy) but opened it is just another nice whisky on the shelf (albeit a very expensive one) to share with your best of friends.
