    Great Weather Report

It is rainy and nasty and generally unpleasant in the Atlanta area just now. Maybe I should say, "still rainy and nasty . . ." since we've been flooded--literally--since Sept. 21. We even have FEMA in doing some of whatever they do.

But . . . it's really looking up for the Games this weekend. The Weather Channel predicts the following:

    Friday: high of 61
    Sat: high of 58
    Sun: high of 61

And there'll be no rain and the sun will shine, at least most of the time! Now that's perfect weather for the Games. Any warmer, and it starts to get hot out there.

Y'all come. It's gonna be great. On Friday evening as we gather at the Celtic, it'll be cool and sunny, just right for standing in the street and telling lies.

    Talking

Jim that's the best news you could of laid on these ol ears/eyes this day. As you have heard me mention, we have been having record heat down here, in the high 90*'s and so I have been spending a lot of time indoors. I can't wait to be head'in up the road.
That temp. will be feel'in just grand ta me and I do mean "GRAND".I just may be tempted ta go "Regimental" ta the max, if it feels that good, which I'm sure it will
I was watching that rain pass thru and hoped it would be gone by the week-end. Good news for all. See ya soon Laddie!

That weather is going to be spot on! And I'm hoping that, due to all the rain we've been getting recently, the dust will be less prevalent than usual.

Any of the other conveners planning to attend?

Here's hoping a few more guys show up. I'll pass the word to Greg (ther new owner) that we're taking over.
My brother and I will be arriving at the campground sometime Friday afternoon. I'll let him know about this meet up and see if we can make it. If not I hope to meet many of you on Saturday!

EDIT: Is anyone else staying in the campground that night going to this meetup? We're taking my brothers car and he doesn't want to drive so if anyone wants to carpool I'm willing to kick in something for gas or a round, etc.

And possibly one more from this direction
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
