Stone Mountain 2009 Pics
I've seen a few pics, but I'll post a few here. Others are welcome to post theirs here as well.
First I must say this was a very cold weekend. I felt sorry for those who chose to camp. The mornings started off in the 30's(F). Saturday was wet and Sunday was windy.
Piperdbh and his wife brought a wonderful cake all the way from North Carolina and even had a special gift for all the Xmarkers.

The Barclay tent early Saturday.

Jolly St. Nick and Turpin deep in thought in front of the Gordan tent.

Other clan tents

The STM tent was busy all weekend. I got a chance to say hey to Matt on Saturday, but they were slammed all weekend. I did pick up a new pair of lovat green hose.

ShawHighlander made an appearance on Sunday. He was sharply dressed as always.

I met lots of great guys. And I know I missed meeting a few others.
After 37 years, these folks know how to run a games. From a clan perspective, this is the best I have attended so far. I look forward to returning next year.

Forgot some. These were from the Parade of Tartans. I would guess that there are well over 1000 people on the field at this time. The massed bands from Saturday had close to 700.

If I weren't such a big sissy, I'd have been in the picture, but, alas, a suppressed immune system and inclement weather during a swine flu epidemic do not make good bed fellows.
I did, however, enjoy dinner with several of the rabble on Saturday evening, and I enjoyed the visit to the games in the sunny, cool weather of this afternoon (Sunday).
I must say it was great to meet Beowulf (and his brother, Mike), JolyStNicholas, WClarkb, and a couple of Atlanta area fellows.
Can't beat X-ers on a road trip.

Great Shots! Looks like everyone had a good time... It looks cool, but I see the smiles!

FYI, from a scale perspective, you can park a school bus on the rump of Rober E. Lee's horse.
I had a great time hosting you all, meeting new friends and renewing old acquaintances. Many thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Piperdbh for that fabulous cake. What a treat it was!
