Sorry, by standard I mean the ones from Simplicity and other costume pattern suppliers. I see a lot of research ahead for me before I give this a try. But thats the advantage of places like this. You don't have to reinvent the wheel everytime.

Sydnie is exactly right...the hip (rump) measurement is the key. Everything flows from that dimension. The X-Kilt will lead you to this understanding quite well.
