As long as you DON'T get the colors in the pic, it could look good!
I have this thought in my head:
Black Jacket / vest
Black SHADOW tartan kilt
Black on black entrelac hose.
I think THAT would be neat to see...

I could only hope to be mentioned in the same breathe as the man in black. A personal hero of mine.

This is a great idea. You know, if you donated me the Kilt I could get Diane to make the Hose and show you what it looks like.

even if you didn't do the foot of the sock in entrelac, but the ankle to calf was.
I'd say go it.....all one color...except the cuff

I just think the sort of basket weave look on the hose would be really nice.
What do you think?
Wendy Keith Designs sells these.

Rex, I've made hose similar to that before with entrelac cuffs, but I've yet to find anybody doing full-body entrelac hose, which could definitely be due to the shaping issue mentioned earlier. If/when I get around to doing Arlen's I'll definitely share pics.

Arlen is a lucky man!
Don't let him talk you into black-on-black entrelac, though.

[QUOTE=Arlen;804630]So, I have been talking with Diane about having her make me another pair of Kilt Hose and I found something I like.
You see, she was knitting some entrelac socks for a friend and while I have seen her make Kilt Hose with entrelac in the cuff I've never seen them in the main body.
This is what entrelac socks look like.
Last night I was trying to teach my mum how to do these, but I gave up in the end, came home and printed off a photo for her, after her knitting for almost 50 years she never came accross this pattern, but they now look great, will have to take a pic tomorrow when I see her..... These colours look great but not very "manly", No doubt the "manly" ones will look fab..
