Ah, for the days of all weekend long D&D Games...killing dragons, doobies and vast quantize of ethonol... Course nary a female in sight.....Not that's a bad thing....Cool found my old dice...Any body up for Lochmarral Dungeon? Twelve levels of nasty traps and a Liche Black Dragon!
We had a rule...if you fell out then your character got to open all doors check dark pits and be the first into the fray no matter the class.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

I play as well, and, geek-equipment aside, I really don't like the concept. If I am going to play a game with little figures (what you might call toys), then, dammit, I WILL be rolling physical Dice!
Yes I am a nerd from way back. A rather large nerd, so I never caught much flack for it.

Yup, we had the same rule......had some pretty beat up characters as well!
Good way to judge the Quality of the DM was how fast the beer left the fridge, if there was still beer in the fridge at 4:00 am, you had a good DM!
If as the sun was rising some one volunteered to make a "McMuffian Run" you had a GREAT DM........ :food-smiley-002:
