BTW Richard, good to see you made it over here! Took me a couple of posts to make the link. I must be getting slow; probably the grey in my beard or something like that.

Alan H has posted about Eton Jackets as a cheap alternative, I believe this is a link he has posted before. Not quite a PC but would not look out of place with a kilt (waiter, what is this fly doing in my soup...).

MacLowlife if your goal is to rule the world, I'm looking for competent people for SOKS to crew my airship 'Maple Leaf'. Please submit resume, references, blood type & NOK through proper and secret channels.
P.S. Please don't tell Panache that I'm again recruiting as Saskatchewan is cold this time of year. Pudding is good as always though.

MacLowlife, rather than a polyester Eton jacket, I suggest a wool Spencer Waist Coat from World Wide Tuxedos.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

If WWT ( love the name, by the way,) had a RED or even burgundy Spencer waist coat, I would be all over that like white on rice, once again, getting MOST of what I want for a lot less money. Better in my case to go with the MTM PC for a few dollars more. WWT does have an interesting vast/ waistcoat on sale, in what looks to be the gilded MacGregor tartan:

Several others they show might actually be useful

Be sure to scroll down- and note the US usage of Waistcoat to be a short jacket and Vest to be a sleeveless garment, known in other lands as a waistcoat or gilet.

A portion of your purchase goes to underwrite my campaign... I wish.

As to the sporran, I've never liked that particular Acrylibeast hybrid; but I'm in your debt for the experience.

That multi-color, that folks are calling Harlequin, puts me very much in mind of Colin Baker's incarnation of the Doctor. Now I am once again hoping that we will finally get a kilted Doctor Who when Matt Smith decides to retire from the role.

Ah, Grant, when will you give it up? I still can't believe your men actually managed to hit Greg and miss me, when I am the much larger target. It makes me think you got their rubber chicken sporrans from a supplier in China that used some really noxious lead paint.

On the other hand, bringing up Alan's Uniformal Wearhouse find says there may be hope for you yet.

Hope you get that red PC MacLowlife. If you attain your other goal, could you grant me a couple of acres of Colorado?

Grant - did you really think that the Ensigns of the Saltire security detail would miss this post?

Ahhh Brian, my New Zealand lamb in lamb's clothing, I'll never be unsettled by a group of red shirts in pink kilts constantly fretting whether or not their pleats are wrinkled.
