I definitely think it would look nice as a solid color. If you decide I would be interested in seeing how they turn out.

These colours look great but not very "manly", No doubt the "manly" ones will look fab..
I'm glad she's decided she likes the pattern. I'd love to see a picture of hers!
I'm thinking perhaps an oatmeal colour with Loden green and red in the cuff will look good. Manly enough?

Sounds like a good look for kilt hose. I hope to see those photos.

Yes, I forgot to say so when I help get the photos to show. That is a handsome pair of kilt hose, and I do like the Entrelac tops on the solid hose. But I bet they would look better on darker bottoms than lighter---just my eye I guess.

Those are really nice hose - and I am not sure that reversing the colours in the lavender/purple pair would be an improvement - I suspect that the introduced colour needs to be a stronger one than is used for the main part.
The introduction of both the colour and texture by the apparent interlacing is something I want to try out for myself.
I went into a Lidl shop on Friday and found they were selling a 75 percent wool sock yarn at one pound per 50 gram ball - in packs of four - soooo - I had one pack of just about all of them except the green - which I can't get on with these days.
I don't think that I can really get away with space dyed hose, not at my age - but as the added in yarn for entrelac, that would maintain my reputation for eccentricity without going too far.
Today we have gales and rain - it really focuses the thoughts on the production of attire suitable for the Winter months.
