That same exact Pitt. I started a thread looking for Pitt students.

I found out today that Pitt money can't buy personal items, so the kilt(s) will be club property. We just need 2 more people to be eligible for funding....

    EDIT:

I think we have more than enough people from Pitt now; we just need to get all the names down on one list and fill out the paper work. I wonder how well foam weaponry cuts through bureaucratic red tape?

It's good that we have more than 10 people, but it's also bad, because now my maximum share is going to be less.

    Kilt budget estimate: $20-$50

Stillwater doesn't seem to have my size (about 31-32 inches at navel) in either Thrifty or Economy Kilts, so I'll be probably be buying second hand or getting help (substantial help) making my own.

Having fought in both a wee kilt and a great, with sword, pike, musket, and straight wrestling...It's MUCH easier fighting in a wee. Big things to remember, whatever you do-wet kilts get heavy. Muddy kilts get heavier. If you're regimental, best hope nobody brought their wee'uns...and CLEAN SOCKS.

The small size of SW thrifty kilt fits my 33" waist pretty well and is on the small side.

If you decide to try that route, a small thrifty should work fine for you.

or I could make you a kilt. Since I'm new and trying to build a reputation I could undertake a project for a small fee as long as it can be machine stitched.

If you want to talk details just email me. (Gabriel Everson) gabe-everson(AT)hotmail.com.

and whatever you decide to do you have to post pics.

McMurdo posted my paintball kilt made by RKilts. I got the Multicam material from Rockywoods. Newer camos do not include black as they are harder to blend in. The MOLLE system is an inexpensive option and function very well for the sporran. It doesn't slap me in the nether regions on a hard run. In fact I'll retrofit MOLLE on the fell to hold more equipment that is right now hard to reach on my vest. One word of advice in camo fabric, avoid Multicam because this fabric and accompanying equipment is more expensive. An XKIlt would be a very inexpensive alternative forget about getting funding for it all you'd need is two yards of 56" wide fabric at $15/yd (for digital MARPAT). Another consideration is under garments. In paintball I wear slider shorts because I'll avoid revealing my religion and as added protection whereas a cup is too restricting (read chafing). Oh, and have a blast.
