A FANTASTIC deal on regimental Black Watch fabric surplus
Hey Gang-
Just a heads up for all of you who want to pick up some really excellent tartan fabric. One of the contractors that made kilts for the Black Watch is auctioning off the material since its not being used anymore. I just bought a bunch, but there is TONS left over. This surely wont last at these prices (13.50£ per DW meter!!) Here's the link-

Since this is 56" wide, only 4 yards would be needed for a kilt, correct?

Thanks for the link! I just bought 4 meters! It will be a little while until I get around to making the kilt but that was such a great price I couldn't pass it up!
And yes, Woodsheal, since it is double wide fabric and a yard is just a little less than a meter, 4 meters should be enough to make a nice kilt (depending on your waste size).

That would be correct Woodsheal. I'm hoping there is a bit left (2 or 3 yards or so) come next Thursday.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Just pulled the trigger on 5 meters myself. Watchout if you are here in the States, as shipping is close to $30, so remember to figure that into your calculations on price overall.
4m ought to be enough for myself to get a kilt made, and the fifth should do nicely for my son to get one that fits again.
Thanks for the heads up Josh.

I'm trying to make a purchase but it's not taking due to S&H not having been specified by the seller. Anybody else have this problem and find a way around it?
