Highland games
Perfect Weather, great crowd, lots of fun, great food, lots of vendors and great games, including some find herding, dancing performaces, and two great bands. Lots of Clan booth and lots to see and do. Enjoyed it and would suggest if you are within a 3 hour drive that you plan to attend the next one. Have to say it was well organized and everyone seems to have a great time and the drum and pipe bands did a great job, wish thaey would made a CD of their music. Had a great time.

Well, funny you should say that KM. the Montreat Band has several CD's out, and one that they recorded a few weeks ago is in the last stages of production. I'll post an announcement with ordering info when it is ready to ship.

It was 'Perfect Weather'. Don't think it could have been any nicer. It was good to meet you all that made it to the meet up. I have a few pics I will try to get uploaded. Spent most of the day at the music tent, so almost all are of The Hooligans and Rathkeltair. Really enjoyed it.

Wow! Great Pics. Thanks for sharing. After seing those, I think I missed more of the games than I saw. Puts my few pictures to shame. There's always next year.
Can you tell me where the Seabee flag was hanging at? I can't believe I missed it.

The Seabees flag was hanging at the tent near the far corner of the athletics field, close to where the pipe bands were stationed (and the porta-johns). My wife's stepdad was a Captain in the Seabees and we bought him a tartan sash from the Tartans Museum as a gift a while back. We snapped that for him, actually. There was a lot to be seen for sure!

OK. Thanks. Seems like I do remember seeing a booth with some type of military affiliation there at the end of the row. Still can't believe I missed it. I was in the Bee's from '85 to '90, but was in the enlisted ranks. Seeing it brings back many memories.

Thanks for the pictures, Bryan! (One day I hope to meet the man that now occupies my stool at Jack's! Micki and Chad probably like you better, though - at least if you drink something stouter than Diet Coke!)
It looks like a good time was had, and thanks for getting the elusive Shawn and company on film. They seem to successfully dodge the camera by claiming to "have to be on stage" whenever group pics are taken! Getting photo evidence of their existence is indeed an auspicious event!
