Found this posted on the highland dance forum that I frequent. Some really great shots very pertinent to a number of threads going on: kilt length, bonnet 'adornments' etc.

I am perplexed that 1942 would be a time to make such a travel promotional film--prospects for overseas tourism would seem slight, considering the U-boat problem. And even British tourists would have been rather busy and distracted at this time, not to mention the rationing restrictions and all.

Seems to be an American film and perhaps it was nice to show some peace and beauty at such a time, and the way of life that people were fighting to preserve.

It seems the dancers shown toward the end, at the Games, are wearing fully pleated skirts (pleats all 'round) vs. kilt-style.

Very interesting -- love that "you are here" narrator!
