No no no it couldn't be true Shackleton being an Irishman would never drink Scottish Whisky.....it's all lies lies lies.......Surely there must be a drop of Tullamore Dew in those cases, Scotch wouldn't be enough to warm a woman never mind a Polar explorer (The Thing gets ready for what's about to come)..............!

I notice that you cannot remove the bottles. I wonder if I could drink the contents then refill them with some genuine Johnny Walker???

Another interesting facet in the never ending story of Ernest Shackleton's failed Antarctic expedition. How many people do you know who could even come up with the name Roald Amundsen, let alone his claim to fame?
Thanks for sharing the article.

Anyone who goes to get it will get extra points if they wear a kilt for the journey. I recommend nothing less than 18-ounce wool, though.

My best friend in grade school's father was with Shackleton in the Antartic, and he was Scottish (had to make this relevant).

Rather significant too, considering their previous history and animosities.
Simply the word "airship" inspires intrigue and romance, does it not?
