I can't speak to the kilts, though others have and I can't recall any complaints. You might want to peruse the Scotweb sub-forum here on XMTS for words of praise or concern.

As for the resulting fabric, I couldn't be happier with it.

If you order the minimum yardage (or meterage, I suppose), I don't doubt that you'd have enough left over for a cover for your pipes' bag from what's left over from your kilt.

As for who would make such a thing, well, you'll have to consult the pipers.
