This has pretty much been my approach too. Well, I was exercising regularly for a few months, but fell out of the habit. Weight loss was obviously accelerated when I was exercising (that's when I lost the bulk of the 20 lbs or so), but I'm still trimming weight - just at a slower pace. Portion control. It's all about portion control. The nice thing is that you slowly lose the ability the cram in as much food; I find myself feeling full sooner even when I'm gorging on ribs or similar.
I'd probably melt off another 10 lbs if I could just cut out the Mountain Dew. That stuff is like crack.
If I cinch my (one and only) Stillwater tight, and tighten down the belt, it stays put. But it's probably best if I stick to wearing it casually, with an untucked rugby shirt or similar, as there is a little bit of bunching at the waist from the belt.
Good luck, Lachlan09!
