Women's Dress
We're all aware of the ball gown with dress tartan sash look, the tartan skirt look, the Aboyne Highland competition dress and the kilted dress worn by Scottish dancers.
But whilst the men on this site fuss and prune themselves and congratulate each other over their myriad peacock-dress possibilities, what about the women ?
Aren't there other forms of dress which could expound the Highland tradition other than the hackneyed images I mentioned in the first para ?
Why can't some attention be paid to giving women more interesting forms of dress to compliment, even rival, the male forms of dress ?
Why isn't the arisaid given more attention and respect ? I don't mean doing an 18th Century re-enactment of Flora MacDonald aka MacLeod, I am talking about a modern update on the arisaid which I believe could be a glamorous form of dress on formal occasions for instance (more glamorous than the lacklustre white gown and tartan sash)

Reason: I'm an idiot for posting, again.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
