That's a nice looking tartan. Rex, both looks are very nice.

Is that fireplace hearth in a home in Cincinnati? Beautiful! How old is the home/hearth?

"Rex porn" indeed - provoking kilt-lust, while making me feel utterly inadequate and unworthy of said kilt!

A fine kilt, in a fine tartan, very finely modelled.

There are 3 or 4 variations of it... all designed by Gaelic Themes. Ald Lang Syne, Ald Lang Syne Grey, & Ald Lang Syne Camel (all tans and browns).

You are all too kind. If you can't find the eBay version and still want one of these, all you need to do is to talk to Rocky at USA Kilts. I did a review of this one when it arrived.

Josh, if Mrs. Piper really wants some Rex porn, I might direct her to a different forum, but I'm afraid it would probably not be her milieu.

    Regards,
    Rex.

That is indeed the original fireplace in my 1930 home in Cincinnati.

In real estate listings, such fireplaces are often marketed as "Rookwood." Many homes in Cincinnati do indeed have real Rookwood Pottery-made tile, but this is not one of them. A neighbor of mine did some research on his similar fireplace and learned that the tiles came from a company in a western state (Colorado or California, I don't recall now). I still love it, though, and was thrilled when I realized after I first saw it that the furnishings I was able to take with me from the farm after my split went perfectly with it.

    Rex.
